Tickets for the National Lottery are in hot demand as fans try to snap up the winning numbers for two huge jackpots, worth more than £170 million.

A hefty £154 million is up for grabs to be won in tonight’s EuroMillions draw, followed by an £18.2 million top prize in tomorrow’s “Must Be Won” Lotto draw.

Big prize pots

Tonight’s eye-watering EuroMillions prize will create the UK’s second biggest National Lottery winner to date, if the jackpot is won by a single-ticket holder.

Colin and Chris Weir from Largs in North Aryshire are currently the UK’s biggest National Lottery winners, having scooped £161 million in 2011.

The National Lottery’s Andy Carter said: “What a week this could be for players.

“We have our fingers crossed that we’ll be paying out big prizes to lots of very lucky winners all over the UK.

“EuroMillions and Lotto players help raise the £30 million-plus that The National Lottery gives to good causes each and every week.”

More lucky winners

Some players have already enjoyed a taste of winners’ luck on the EuroMillions this year, with Northern Ireland couple Patrick and Frances Connolly snapping up £114.9 million on New Year’s Day.

The win made them the UK’s fourth biggest National Lottery winners to date.

If tonight’s £154 million prize pot is not won, the money will remain for a further four draws.

It does, however, have to be won in the fifth draw.

Players who match the draw’s five main numbers, plus one Lucky Star, number will enjoy some big winnings from the bumper prize tiers.
