After a drought of live sport, it’s welcome news for fans with both semi-finals and final live across BBC Northern Ireland TV, BBC iPlayer and radio.

The semi-final games will be the first competitive football matches played in Northern Ireland since the coronavirus pandemic restrictions came into force.

Both semi-finals in this season’s Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup will be played at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park on Monday 27 July with the final on Friday 31 July.

BBC Sport Northern Ireland will have live coverage of both semi-finals on Monday with the first match featuring Ballymena United against Coleraine kicking-off at 4pm.

Cliftonville take on Glentoran in the later 8pm kick-off for a place in the showpiece decider. Both games will be live on BBC Two Northern Ireland, on BBC iPlayer and on BBC Radio Ulster

The Irish Cup Final on Friday evening will also be live across BBC Two Northern Ireland, BBC iPlayer and on BBC Radio Ulster with kick-off at 8pm.

Neil Brittain, Executive Editor, BBC Sport Northern Ireland said: “It’s great to have local football back and back live on TV. It has been a tough few months for everyone. BBC Sport Northern Ireland is looking forward to lifting the spirits of local football supporters with live coverage of these three crucial Irish Cup games.

"And with the games likely being played behind closed doors, it’s great to be able to bring the action to the fans of the teams involved who can’t be there.”
