THE festive season is almost upon us, but there’s another big event coming up for your diary in the new year.
The annual Adelaide Motorcycle Festival, an extravaganza of all that biking has to offer, will run for three days starting on Friday, 8 February at the King’s Hall complex in Belfast.
For Nutt Promotions this will be their 18th motorcycle show/festival and their seventh year at Balmoral, where the main exhibits will centre on the King’s Hall Pavilion.
Adelaide Insurance is back for the ninth consecutive year as the title sponsors.
“The 2012 Festival was hailed by exhibitors and visitors as the best motorcycle festival ever,” revealed organiser Billy Nutt.
“Exhibitors reported doing brisk business and many visitors came back for a second day.
“So far as next year is concerned, the response so far from local dealers has been very encouraging.
“We would hope to have all the major manufacturers represented and that includes Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, BMW, Ducati, KTM, Aprilia, Triumph and Harley Davidson. This is extremely gratifying given the present economic climate.
“What with 15,000 people through the doors in three-days last February, this is an opportunity not to be missed by both dealers and the biking public.
“Over the last few years the auto-jumble has really taken off and that has prompted us to allocate similar space for 2013.
“We are again anticipating a huge display of Chopper motorcycles as well as Vintage and Classic bikes.
“In fact there will be something for everybody, it’s that sort of Festival with the widest possible appeal.”
Make a note of the dates: Friday February 8, Saturday February 9 and Sunday February 10 - just the ideal build-up to St Valentine’s Day!
