Coleraine Cricket Club are delighted to announce their junior cricket sponsorhip deal with Greenmount Spar.
The Under 13s proudly wore their new shirts bearing the Greenmount Spar logo on Thursday evening during a postponed game against Ardmore CC.
The weather may have put paid to the cricket but the club boys enjoyed posing for the camera during the unveiling of the shirts.
A club spokesperson commented: “ We are pleased to announce sponsorship of our junior teams in co-operation with Richard Henderson and Greenmount Spar, Coleraine. This is an important partnership for the development of cricket at Coleraine.
“We look forward to the season and seasons to come to see our junior players progress and this sponsorship is instrumental in making that happen.
“We as a club would like to thank Richard and his team for their support and wish him and his business enterprises every success.”
Coleraine CC have three junior teams playing in the North West Cricket Union.
They meet for practice on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm at the club where they enjoy first class training facilities and the tuition of club professional and senior players including club captain Scott Campbell, who came up through the club junior ranks.
Meanwhile, Marcus Poskitt has been selected for the Ireland Under-15 side in a four-game series against Scotland in Cork next month.
“We are very pleased with the composition of the squad for the upcoming tournament,” said coach Brian Allen.
