It did take a tie break but Emma Cameron now has her name on the Girona Cup.
She scored 35 points from her handicap of twelve with 20 of these coming from a strong front nine display which included a birdie two at the second.
Emma blanked the sixteenth to add fifteen points to the card and this proved to be enough as the countback went to the final six holes to ease Helen Rowney into runners up position.
Helen’s unsteady finish included a blank and a couple of single point holes and in the tie break these were decisive.
The Honorary Secretary’s team defeated the Lady Captain’s tem 159 to 156. Not sure if that would be a wise move, perhaps the Lady Captain is a forgiving girl.
