The winners of Good Cause Day at Portstewart Golf Club were: Ann Barr, Terry McCullough, Moraig McCrum receiving their prizes from Lady Captain, Irene Murray.
The event was very generously sponsored by Nicole Morelli of Morelli’s to Go, Clare Johnston of Johnston’s Bar and The Magpie’s Society from Portstewart Golf Club.
Good Cause Day which was played on 31st August was very well supported by the Ladies of Portstewart Golf Club.
The winners came in with a joint score of 80 points, narrowly beating the runners up Susan Anderson, Pat Joyce and Fiona Kilgore who had joint score of 78 points.
Eugena Porter, Maureen Austin and Bernie Eastwood came 3rd.
Other prizes were nearest the pin at the 6th won by Doreen Fleming and nearest the pin at the 15th which was won by Pauline Agnew.
Susan Anderson had the longest drive at the 1st and Susan Morgan came in with the longest drive at the 18th.
The 18 hole competition on the Riverside was won by Clare Tweed with 33 points, Eleanor McLoughlin had the longest drive at the 6th and Moria McKenna was nearest the pin at the second.
The Raffle held on the presentation evening raised a substantial sum for Cancer Research UK.
The Donations for the Raffle all came from Local Businesses and this was greatly appreciated by The Portstewart Ladies.
The ILGU Medal and Pendant which was played on 7th September was won by Lady Captain Irene Murray with 76 net points, runner up was Denise Harper.
