The final NIPA race of the year was flown last weekend, liberation in the Rosscarbery YB Inland National was at 10.00am in a Lt NW wind. For early September they could hardly pick a better day, at times it was summer like with clue skies and sunshine.
The usual two lofts dominated in the local area, both had Race Cards to be proud of. Canny Dixon who races his birds at Ballymacaldrick Lofts in Dunloy had a pile of birds, the early arrivals filled the top five places in Mid Antrim Combine.
Hanson & Harpur are usually not far away, they had five in the Top 10 of the Coleraine Triangle. Darren Tosh from the Coleraine & County Derry was well placed with two birds.

Mid Antrim Combine Secretary George McDowell has requested claims for the season’s cups and trophies, winners from last season should return same as soon as possible to allow time for engraving etc. All claims to George before Saturday 28th September, and do please return all cups, write to 14 Shankbridge Road, Ballymena BT42 3DJ.
At the end of the season members need to claim for the various awards, deadline is two weeks after the final race flown last weekend from Rosscarbery, that is on or before Sat 28th September, no late claims will be entertained.
