Ballycastle stunned by death of Mrs. Anne Malone

The scene of a fatal RTC on the Ramoan Road Ballycastle, a woman was knocked down by a car shortly before 5pm this evening.

The Ballycastle area has been stunned by the death in an accident of local woman, Anne Malone.

She was killed as she crossed the Ramoan Road in Ballycastle. Mrs Malone was struck by a vehicle at around 4.45pm yesterday. It is understood that Mrs. Malone lived in Ballycastle and was in her 50s.

Police are appealing for information following the tragedy.

Inspector O’Brien said: “I would ask anyone who witnessed this road traffic collision, or the car or pedestrian in the run-up to the collision, to contact Coleraine Police Station.”
