Man ran off from police officers
A Coleraine man ran off from police at the town's Bushmills Road after they found he had £20 worth of herbal cannabis in the pocket of his jeans but he was caught 300 metres away.
The incident involving Sean Neil Philip Owens (31), of Hawthorn Place, happened on August 17 this year, Coleraine Magistrates Court heard.
The court was also told that on March 31 this year he kicked and damaged the front door of a woman’s flat.

Hide AdDefence solicitor John Murphy said his client was intoxicated at the time of the flat incident .
District Judge Liam McNally deferred sentence for six months and also ordered that Owens does 100 hours community service and pays £300 compensation.
If those things don’t happen, he warned the defendant he could be jailed for at least four months when the case comes back to court on March 20.
