More than 2000 homes and businesses in Cookstown are without electricity due to an equipment failure.

Northern Ireland Electricity said a repair team is on its way to fix the problem.

The electricity went off around 11.45am today.

An NIE spokesperson said they hoped to have power restored by 2.45pm today.
