Man posed as a solicitor

A 37-year-old man from the city has appeared in court, where he admitted fraudulently obtaining £18,400 by impersonating a solicitor.

In the dock was Kieran Joseph Healey, of Great James Street, who pleaded guilty to four charges of fraud by false representation, as well as possessing court documents and emails for use in a fraud.

The court heard the offences occurred between September 2011 and August 2014.

The defendant was released on bail and is to be sentenced on 27 April.
