Northern Ireland winger Stuart Dallas believes skipper Steven Davis could play for the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal or any side in the Premier League.

Dallas feels that the Southampton midfielder is a top player, who doesn’t get the credit from the likes of Gary Lineker, Danny Murphy, Alan Shearer and the rest on Match of the Day.

“Look Davo is quality and without doubt one of the best players in the Premier League,” he stated.

“In my opinion he would get into any side in the Premier League, any side.

“And to be playing alongside someone like him is unbelievable and unbelievable for us it helps us so much and I can’t speak highly enough of him.

“As Michael said he only gets whatever seconds on Match of the Day. I have always said that he doesn’t get the credit he deserves.”

The Leeds United man knows Tuesday night’s encounter against the world champions Germany is going to be a tough match, but he and his team-mates aren’t feared of the showdown in Paris.

“I don’t fear anyone. A lot of people forget - they say we are here to make up numbers but we’re not, a lot of people seem to forget that we topped our group.

“We’re a good side. We don’t fear anyone.”

The 25-year-old knows that Joachim Löw’s side will be a tough nut to crack, but manager Michael O’Neill and his back-room team will give them all the information they need.

“They’re not world champions for no reasons. We’re under no illusions what it’s going to be like.

“We know we’re not going to dominate ball, I think we’ve shown that we can defend from the front and we can certainly cause havoc and create chances going forward.

“We were back in training, we regrouped and I’ve said before the manager leaves no stone unturned. We’ll prepare the way we do.

“We’ve got a good backroom team that analyse the games and give us the best information possible.

“Germany’s no different, we’ll get the same information on them as we do every team. It’s 11 v 11 whenever we cross the line, as an individual you’ve got to win your battle.

“If the majority of us do that there’s no reason why we can’t get a positive result.

“We’re under no illusions about what kind of test it’s going to be. They’re not world champions for no reason but every team’s got a weakness.”
