Council announce Irish Open Festival of Entertainment

Live music, street theatre, dancing and children’s entertainment will be staged mainly in Portrush and Portstewart.

Two major food providers will be situated at Kerr Street Green in Portrush.

It’s hoped that the Festival will be brought to a fantastic conclusion with a Fireworks Display from a barge on West Bay on Saturday evening, June 30. Should the weather not be kind the display will be staged from Ramore Head around 10.30pm.

Wednesday, June 27

Portrush

6.30pm-9pm: Cultural Ulster Scots Theme Night featuring The Rightly On Band and Scottish Highland Dancing display with Michelle Johnston, Highland Dancing School. The Ampitheatre, Station Square.

7pm-9pm: Alistair Scott Band, Live at Atlantic Avenue Green.

6.30pm-9.30pm: Walkabout characters Minnie, Mickey, Upsy Daisy and Sponge Bob in Portrush town centre.

Portstewart

6.30pm-9.30pm: Cultural Celtic Rock Theme Night featuring, Shannah and Highway. Four piece band playing a range of Irish Celtic Rock. Crescent complex.

6.30pm-9.30pm: Walkabout characters from Streetwise Community Circus School at the Promenade.

Thursday, June 28

Portrush

6.30pm-7.30pm: Keep it Country Theme Night with American Dreams. Three piece band doing tributes to the Eagles, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain and Gareth Brooks. The Ampitheatre, Station Square.

7.00pm-9.00pm: Harpurs Hill Steel Band play live at Atlantic Avenue Green.

6.30pm-9.30pm: Walkabout characters from In your Space Creative Arts Company (town centre).

Portstewart
