Hugo brings his showlive to Rathlin Island

BBC Radio Ulster’s Hugo Duncan is preparing to set sail for his first live outside broadcast on Rathlin island.

On the road this summer for a series of outside broadcasts Hugo will be taking his popular country music programme on the water to travel by boat to Rathlin Island, off the north Antrim coast on Friday, May 30 from
1.30pm.

Surprise music guests will join Hugo and band Country Harmony for a fun filled afternoon of live country music.

Hugo says: “This will be my first time to perform on Rathlin Island and I am really looking forward to it. It will be a whole new experience, but the boat could be an obstacle as I am not a great man for sailing!”

Details of the complete line up for the Rathlin Island live broadcast will be announced soon.
