Quadrangle present ‘Cinderella’!

From Monday 15th December to Sunday 21st December, Quadrangle Productions will stage their very own production of Cinderella, which has been written as a pantomime to help get everyone into the Christmas Spirit.

With the help of a magical set and wonderful costumes Quadrangle Productions will transformMcAlister Hall into the perfect intimate venue for this fairytale performance.

At the momen,t the group are putting the final touches to their script and will soon be starting the rehearsal process and this is where they need your help!

Quadrangle are looking for actors, both male and female, aged 16 and over (no upper age limit) to join their cast and be involved in this exciting adventure.

Currently we are looking for the following characters; Mrs Grimm (Step-Mother), Jack and Jill (Narrators), Wanda (Fairy Godmother), Colm (the Royal advisor) King George, Prince Theo and Cinderella.

All of the actors will be required to sing at some point during the performance so a strong singing voice is preferable.

As the performance will be open to a schools audience we need volunteers that can commit themselves to shows during the day as well as evenings from Monday 15th December to Sunday 21st December.

Quadrangle Productions Chairperson had this to say: “This project is going to require a lot of commitment from anyone who gets involved but it’s going to be a whole lot of fun!

“Ballycastle hasn’t seen a pantomime in the town for a very long time and we thought it was time to bring the tradition back.

“We hope that the performances will reach audiences across Moyle and so would encourage people from all over Moyle to come and audition for the show.”

Quadrangle Productions are also looking for people to help out backstage and front of house, so if you don’t fancy performing on the stage, get in touch and help out behind it!

The first round of auditions for Cinderella are taking place on Sunday 27th July from 5 - 9.30pm.

As part of the audition, you will required to prepare a verse and chorus of any song and also prepare a short monologue.

You will also be required to do some sight reading at the audition.

Quadrangle Productions hopes to build upon the wonderful Christmas atmosphere which had been built up in the town over the past number of years by Ballycastle Community Development Group and aims to works together with the group to enhance the Christmas experience in Moyle, so please do come and get involved!
