Now a household name through ‘Have I Got News for You’, ‘QI’, ‘Mock the Week’ and BBC Radio 4’s ‘News Quiz’, ‘The Unbelievable Truth’ and ‘Just a Minute’, he has hosted BBC Radio Scotland’s daily morning show ‘MacAulay & Co’ for the last 15 years, as well as continuing to perform live in Scotland and all over the world.

His appearance at the Waterside Theatre is an opportunity to see his sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show ‘Legally Bald’, which

sees Fred, and his forehead, reflecting on family life and the puzzling and sometimes infuriating state of the world. He may even touch on Scottish independence and whether the rest of the British Isles gives a damn.

With a bagful of great stories and witticisms, Fred is a warm and skilful performer, who is also noted for his incisive comments on anything that’s topical, and who never shies away from controversy.
