White House Down proves a chore to sit through

White House Down is basically Die Hard in the White House.

When watching a bad film, my reaction spectrum has three stages; it starts with cringing, progresses to eye ball rolling, then finishes with sighing aloud. I experienced all of those reactions while watching White House Down.

The concept was so daft and the action was so ridiculous, it was like watching a Sharknado level parody. In one scene we have Tatum and Foxx driving the President’s car on the White House lawn in circles. The car gets hit with hundreds of rounds of ammunition and withstands two explosions.

The two hour runtime was far too long to have to sit through. Everything about it, from the characters, to the plot, to the content, was one dimensional.

It was a chore watching this film.
