Representatives from 31 Mid Ulster businesses learned how to grow through change at a recent seminar.

The seminar, which took place at CDE Global’s ground breaking premises in Cookstown, was designed to explore the process of ‘Growth through Change’. It was delivered by Workspace Enterprises Ltd, as part of the ‘Gearing for Growth’ Programme which is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Northern Ireland (2014-20) Programme and Mid Ulster District Council.

During the event, businesses heard first-hand from local industry leaders and experts about the challenges they had experienced in managing change in their own enterprises.

The Gearing for Growth Programme, which has well exceeded its capacity of 250 micro and small businesses, provides one-to-one support across 11 key business areas to drive growth and sustainability. Including business planning, financial management, innovation, market research and social media.

The event offered participants unique insights into the approaches taken by other Mid Ulster businesses, from different sectors and sizes, to navigate the challenges of changing circumstances and economic conditions. The morning opened with Tony Convery, Executive Chairman and Founder of CDE Global, the host company, outlining the company’s incredible growth journey.

Tony reflected that ‘engaging with your people’ plays a critical role in managing change, as success is largely due to the commitment of a highly motivated workforce, who are supported to adapt and move to deal with change, both internally and externally.

This, matched with a positive outlook to ‘believe it possible’ Tony concluded, are the key ingredients in managing change.
