Dromore High pupils learn the art of construction
Pupils discussed problems connected with global warming and dwindling power resources. The use of cleaner energy resources were displayed, the use of many recycled building materials and even the use of upholstery partly sourced from nettle fibres.
Leanne also showed the pupils how Graham’s endeavours to retain wildlife in their areas of construction. These included putting bat boxes under bridge constructions, badger tunnels and a lot of re-planting trees for improved habitats.
Pupils ended their presentation by designing their own Eco-house. Some of these displayed “unusual” and innovative ideas.
