Classic film series in Bangor Castle’s historic Walled Garden

On Saturday, August 8, the beautiful Walled Garden becomes the perfect location for Stephen Spielberg’s original 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park.

As night falls among the tall trees of Castle Park in the grounds of Bangor Castle, you’ll be transported to the film’s dinosaur theme park where ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

If dinosaurs aren’t your thing, Openhouse Festival’s Classic Film Series presents the most requested film for this year’s festival – the timeless Breakfast at Tiffany’s – on Thursday, August 6, complete with complimentary cocktail.

The Oscar-winning film stars Audrey Hepburn in her career defining role as socialite cum high class call girl, Holly Golightly.

And to add a touch of pizzazz to the weekend, there is one of the greatest film musicals of all time on Friday, August 7 – the 1970s’ phenomenon Grease, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.

So pull on your leathers, your dirndl skirts and bobby socks, and slick back your hair, and be prepared to sing along. ‘I’ve got chills... they’re multiplying.’
