Mervyn Wright of Drumeen Construction, the developers, is delighted to see building commence on the site recognising the importance of contributing to the built environment of Portrush.

The scheme, which is fully supported by the First Trust Bank hence the ability to commence and most importantly finish, will undoubtedly help to lift confidence in the property market. The First Trust are also supporting by offering competitive rates on mortgagaes and with an acceptable deposit requirement of 10%.

Philip Tweedie of Philip Tweedie and Company, the selling agents, also commented that it is great to see construction commencing again and therefore an improvement of a vacant site in this extremely popular residential location.

Portrush is experiencing a very positive phase and this development only helps this further.

“Building activity breeds confidence and with so many people likely to visit Portrush this summer, to see continued improvement of the built environment is extremely pleasing as there is a responsibility on us all to try and contribute to improve Portrush in general. Demand for the site has been excellent which to us indicates that there is demand in the market place for the right product and most importantly at the right price,” he said.

The first phase of Dorothea provides six units, two detached and four semi-detached which front onto and will be accessed directly off Ballywillin Road with the remaining nine units to the rear being accessed off Carneybaun Drive.
