Hundreds of local parents and children attended the event which celebrated the wide range of nurturing activities that are provided on a regular basis within the area.

Organised jointly by Ballysally Primary School, Focus on Family, Ballysally Nursery School, Coleraine SureStart Partnership, Ballysally Presbyterian Church and Coleraine Education Community Project, the event was a joyous gathering of local families and groups from Ballysally.

With so much to do at the event, adults and children had a fantastic day out and enjoyed food, provided by Building Ballysally Together Healthy Eating Cafe, magic shows, bouncy castles, mini-golf, face-painting and a crafts stall.

So many people helped out on the day and a big thank you to everyone involved.

A special appreciation goes to the funders – Department for Social Development Neighbourhood Renewal – who have funded the BINP for ongoing nurturing provision in the area over the last number of years.

Regional Development Minister Nelson McCausland said: “I am pleased that my Department is able to support the Ballysally Integrated Nurturing Programme in their endeavours to continue to provide vital nurturing support.

“This event provided an opportunity to recognise those achievements and for families to enjoy a full programme of engaging activities.”
