Show committee unveils its plans

LURGAN Show committee has announced a number of special events to mark this year’s centenary of the show.

Lurgan & District Horse & Cattle Show Society Ltd committee will hold their AGM tonight (Thursday) at 7.30pm in Bleary Farmers’ Hall, 26 Upper Ballydougan Road, Portadown.

All members are requested to attend and a very warm welcome awaits any new potential members wishing to join the show committee in this special centennial year.

Supper will be served afterwards by the ladies committee.

Lurgan Show Committee have also announced a number of special events for the centenary year.

The show launch will be held on Wednesday, April 25, at Brownlow House.

On Friday, June 1, Lurgan Show Committee will host a free Centenary Open-air Concert with Peter Corry and his band, this in conjunction with Craigavon Borough Council’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.
