Acheson murder: man released on bail
A 39 year old man arrested in the greater Belfast area on Wednesday morning in connection with the murder of Coleraine pensioner Bertie Acheson was today released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Detectives from Serious Crime Branch had taken the suspect to Antrim police station for questioning. Police also searched a property in Antrim.
72 year old Mr Acheson died following a confrontation with an intruder at his home in Glenmore Gardens in Coleraine in the early hours of 30 April this year.
