Act of Remembrance forms part of evening of music in Tandragee
The event on Saturday February 22 was arranged in conjunction with Tandragee Royal British Legion.
The compere was George Lavery. Taking part in the packed programme were Moneyslane Flute Band, Tandragee Junior High School Choir, Mullabrack Accordion Band, Somme Memorial Flute Band, Killeen Drum Corps, Field Marshall Montgomery piper Derek Boyce, Pipes & Drums of the Royal Irish Regiment, County Armagh Drum Majors and last but by no means least, hosts Battlehill Pipe Band who entertained the audience with a selection of foot tapping tunes.

Hide AdIn the lead up to the Act of Remembrance, Royal British Legion standard bearers gave a colourful display after which the Pipes and Drums of the Royal Irish Regiment played a few regimental marches.
During the Act of Remembrance a bugler played the last post followed by a lament by a lone piper.
An on stage poppy drop and one minute’s silence was followed by reveille played by a bugler.
The evening of concluded with the massed band joining in playing ‘Killaloe’ with hearty participation at the appropriate places by a most appreciative capacity audience.
