To mark World Mental Health Day, a group of guest speakers from Action Mental Health visited Downshire School to share their stories and experiences with year 14 Health and Social Care students.

Mark and Sandy who work in Action Mental health were also in school to talk to the pupils about where people with mental health disorders can get help and to inform them of the work they do within Northern Ireland to support those suffering from mental disorders.

The pupils, the school added in a statement, “feel they have gained a better and more in-depth understanding of what suffers of these disorders face”.
