Another week, another TV game show winner

Last week, the Times reported that Larne woman Ciara Hunter won the £40,000 jackpot on the BBC National Lottery show, In It To Win It.

Amazingly, just a week later, Ballygally resident Leigh McKay was also celebrating a big win on the show, which is hosted by Dale Winton.

Leigh, who is a friend of Ciara’s, made it to the final round of In It To Win It on Saturday night, when she competed against two other contestants for a share in a whopping £50,000 prize fund.

Each of the three contestants still in contention had to answer one multiple-choice question correctly to secure a share of the jackpot. With a measure of confidence, Leigh gave Dale the right answer to her question.

Only one of the other two contestants answered their question correctly, which meant that a delighted Leigh walked away with a cheque for half the prize pot – a cool £25,000.
