Band entertains city centre shoppers

AS part of the ongoing Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, local bands have been entertaining city centre shoppers in Market Square, Lisburn for the past two Saturday afternoons.

On Saturday 9th June, Baillies Mills Accordion Band played a great selection of tunes rounding off with a rousing ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’.

The Mayor, Alderman William Leathem, stopped by to give his support; the local piper also stopped by to listen to his own band Magheragall Pipe Band who played on Saturday 16th June.

Ballycoan Flute Band will be playing on Saturday 23rd June from 2.00pm to 3.30pm - come along and give your support to these local musicians.
