Bonds Hilllights call
A WATERSIDE councillor has called for an upgrade in street lighting in the Bonds Hill area of Londonderry to increase public safety and help prevent crime.
Speaking after residents raised the issue with him on the doorsteps, Waterside SDLP councillor Martin Reilly said: “Local residents in Bonds Hill and the surrounding streets are concerned at the poor quality of the lighting in this area.
“I can understand their wish for better illumination in order to increase safety and prevent crime.
“I have raised these concerns with Roads Service officials and I would urge them to carry out necessary improvements as soon as possible,” said Councillor Reilly.
