Budding Florist set for Chelsea Flower Show
Twenty-one year old Emma took part in the Ireland Heat of the RHS Young Chelsea Florist of the Year Competition at CAFRE’s Greenmount Campus last Wednesday, for which she and her fellow competitors had to create a ‘floral cake for an Asian themed wedding’.
Her intricate design for the cake scored top marks and won her a place in the Final, which will be held at the famous Chelsea Flower Show, which takes place in May.

Emma, who works in Lavender Lane florist on High St, Lurgan, graduated from Greenmount College with a Distinction in her Level 3 Diploma in Floristry in June 2014. She won a bronze medal at last year’s final for making a floral dress and will soon find out what she is required to create for the Competition final.
