Car destroyed in petrol bomb attack

Police officers investigating a petrol bomb attack in Glengormley in the early hours of Sunday, August 3 have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Shortly before 12.35am, a car parked near a house in Queens Avenue was set on fire. The car was extensively damaged, but no one was injured in the attack.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service personnel attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.

Police say enquiries into the incident are continuing.

Investigating officers have appealed for anyone with information to contact them at Newtownabbey Station on the non-emergency number, 101.
