Caterpillar Larne spruces up Corran allotments
The team attended Corran Integrated Primary School, close to the Larne Caterpillar factory, to carry out an extension to the school’s allotment, located in what is knonn as the Caterpillar Garden.
Painting, weeding, and laying topsoil for the new wildflower garden were completed on the day.

Hide AdA new resource garden was also created, using natural materials, limestone chippings donated by Kilwaughter Chemical Company, tree stump seating by local builder, and learning resources by the parents council.
This will provide a valuable extension to the outdoor learning environment to be found all year round at the Corran IPS and Nursery.
A spokesperson for the school’s parent council said: “We would like to thank Caterpillar NI for their dedicated support to the Caterpillar Garden.
“We are also grateful to Kilwaughter Chemical Company and local builders for their donations.
“This has been a super summer which has seen parents, the community, local businesses and the school working together to create a shared environment for all the pupils to enjoy.”
