Community groups grant
BALLYMONEY Borough Council has agreed to give Good Relations Grants help to two local community groups.
During a recent Leisure and Amenities Committee meeting, members backed a call to give £350 to Glebeside Community Association for assistance towards a Cultural Difference programme and to Stranocum Ulster Scots Cultural and Heritage Society for assistance towards Cultural Diversity Through Music event.
The report explained: ‘The above two grant applications meet the criteria of the Small Grants Scheme.’
It was proposed by Cllr Ian Stevenson and seconded by Cllr John Finlay.
The Director reminded members that a meeting of the Good Relations Sub Committee would be taking place early this month.
