Julie and Mark Peacock, parents of Michelle who tragically passed away in February 2013, were invited on to the UTV Magazine Show. Presenter Sarah Travers asked them about Michelle’s book, ‘Time to Take My Life Back’ and the charitable foundation which has been set up in her memory.

Jacqueline Stewart, principal of Downshire School where Michelle attended, was also invited on to present Julie and Mark with the UTV ‘People Like You’ award live on air.

Mrs Stewart said: “They received this for all of the inspirational work they have done to raise money for various charities supported by the Michelle Peacock Foundation. It was a lovely surprise for Julie and Mark and they were very touched to have been nominated for this award.”

The foundation has been set up as a platform to raise money so that other children’s cancer charities can also benefit.
