Fined for possessing cannabis after party
A Lurgan man has been fined £60 for possessing a Class B drug.
Craigavon Magistrates Court heard last Wednesday that John McGuigan from Elmwood Close in Lurgan had been at a party on May 22 this year.
The court was told police had spotted two men acting suspiciously in the Elmwood Terrace area.
It transpired McGuigan, who is aged 22, had £20 worth of cannabis.
His defence lawyer said that it was not his usual activity.
He was fined £60 plus ordered to pay a £15 offenders levy.
