Police recover £40k worth of drugs following ‘stop and search’ in Carrickfergus

One person has been arrested after police seized £40,000 worth of drugs in Carrickfergus yesterday (Thursday).

In a statement, PSNI Mid and East Antrim said: “Carrickfergus Neighbourhood Policing officers conducted a stop and search in Carrickfergus, disrupting criminal activity and removing over four kilograms of Class B controlled drugs.

“Another day and another £40,000 worth of drugs out of our community.”

Police added that one person is in custody and a “charge sheet awaits on their release”.
