Detectives at Strand Road have appealed for information following a report that a 32-year-old man has been shot in both legs in the Waterside area of the city.
The incident occurred at Lincoln Courts at around 11.30pm last night. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Information can be given on the police non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, it can be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
