Jean Dowey

The death took place peacefully at hospital on January 14 of Jean Dowey, late of Wellington Street, Lurgan.

She was the sister of Hetty, Joe and Edna and sister-in-law of Teresa and Walter.

Her funeral service was on Saturday in Malcomson’s Funeral Home with interment in Magheralin Parish Churchyard.

Bertha Elizabeth McComb

In her 98th year Bertha Elizabeth (Lily) McComb, died at Hockley Mews Nursing Home on January 14.

Late of Gilpin Park, Dollingstown, she was an aunt, great aunt and great great aunt.

Her funeral was last Thursday from the home of her niece to Knocknamuckley Parish Churchyard.

Michael McDowell

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on January 15 of Michael McDowell, Parknasilla Way, Aghagallon.

He was the husband of Rose and father of David, Martin, Annette, Kathleen and Michael.

Also regretted by daughters-in-law Ciara, Tracey and Cathy, son-in-law Adrian and grandchildren Simon, Jonathan, Nathan, Luke, Lauren, Katie, Michael, Ellen, Mia and Fionn.

He was the brother of Kieran, Bobby, Sheila, Fergus and Peggy and the late Vincent, David, Irene and Roisin.

His funeral was on Friday to St Patrick’s Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Sanya Gracey

The death took place on January 7 suddenly in Poland of Sanya Gracey, late of Avenue Road, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Kris, Demi and Isha and daughter of Sylvia and John and sister of Nicola and Stephen.

Her funeral was on Saturday to Seagoe Parish Church with interment in the adjoining graveyard.

The death took place peacefully on January 7 at her home, Mulberry Court, Arden, North Carolina, USA, of Margaret June Moore (nee Orr), formerly of Charles Street, Lurgan.

She was the wife of David.

Her funeral service was on Sunday in Ian Milne and Sons Funeral Home, Tandragee Road, Lurgan, with interment in Lurgan New Cemetery.

Yvonne Dowey

The death took place peacefully at her home on January 17 of Yvonne Dowey, nee Whitley, Hill Street, Gilford.

She was the wife of Harold James Dowey and mother of Colin and Tanya.

Margaret Gallagher

Margaret Gallagher died peacefully at her home on January 18.

She was the wife of the late John Gallagher, Hillsborough Road, Moira, and mother of Sean, Eilish, Aidan, Anne and Paul.

Her funeral was on Sunday to the Church of St Patrick and Ronan, Magheralin, with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery, Kilwarlin.

The death took place suddenly as a result of an accident on January 18 of John Lavery, Chestnut Grove, Aghacommon.

He was the husband of Mary, father of Connor and Seaneen, son of Desmond and Marie Lavery and brother of Patricia, Kieran, Desmond, Brendan, Gerald, Mary and Martin.

Edel Scarlett

Late of Woodville Street and Kilmore Road, Lurgan, Edel Scarlett, nee Greene, died peacefully at her home in Meigle, Perthshire, Scotland, on January 6 after a short illness.

She was the wife of Andrew and mother of Lucy, Katie, Anna and Drew.

The daughter of Eugene and Dorothy she was the sister of Shaun, Eugene and Mark, and sister-in-law of Fiona and Denise, niece Elizabeth and nephews Jordan, Caolan and Taylor.

Her funeral was on Thursday, January 10, in Meigle Parish Church with interment in Meigle New Cemetery.

She will be sadly missed by her family, family circle and friends.

Stuart McNeill died peacefully on January 19 after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity.

She was the wife of the late John McAleese and Noel Smyth.

She was the mother of Brendan Smyth, grandmother of Darren and Gavin and granny of Jayden.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Paul’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
