Deaths in the local community

Tommy Maginn

Former Shore Road man Tommy Maginn died in Wales on September 29.

He was the son of John and Annie and brother of Marie, Angela, Eileen, Joan, Gerald, Noel and the late Paddy.

Tommy was a former Clann Eireann GAC player.

Charlie Larkin

Following a short illness the death took place on September 30 in Craigavon Area Hospital of Charlie Larkin from Beech Close in Bleary.

He was husband of Margaret and father of Yvonne, Caroline, Kevin and Colin.

His funeral was to St Anthony's Church in Craigavon on Saturday followed by burial in St John's Cemetery, Lylo.

Alice Bernadette McConville

The death took place peacefully at Lurgan Hospital on October 2 of Alice Bernadette McConville, formerly of North Street.

She was the daughter of the late Jack and Alice and sister of the late Billy, Charlie, Sean, Joey, Matt, Annie and Lily.

Her funeral was on Monday to St Paul's Church followed by interment in St Patrick's Cemetery, Derrymacash.

Bridget McCann (nee Madden)

The death took place peacefully at home on October 2 of Bridget McCann (nee Madden) of Wolf Island Terrace.

She was the wife of the late Paddy and mother of Anne, sister of Kathleen and the late James and sister-in-law to Teresa. Her funeral was on Monday to St Patrick's Church in Derrymacash with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sister Stanislaus McConville

Sister Stanislaus McConville, formerly of Derryclone, Aghagallon passed away peacefully on October 3 at the age of 92.

She was the daughter of the late Maria and Francis Bernard McConville and sister of Dinah Sheehan and the late John, Jimmy, Father Willie, Hugh, Mary (McHenry) and Eileen (Carson).

Her funeral was on Wednesday from the Convent of Mercy on Edward Street to St Paul's Church followed by burial in the convent cemetery.

Martin Lavery

The death took place suddenly on October 3 of Martin Lavery from Lake Street.

He was the son of Donald and Ellen and brother of Donald, Noreen, Eleanor, Jennifer, Maura and the late Brian and Isobel.

His funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter's Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.
