Dedication and parade
NEWBUILDINGS Culture Association, in conjunction with Newbuildings Victoria LOL No.1087 will erect a new arch in Newbuildings this weekend.
It will be dedicated on Monday, July 4 during Newbuildings Victoria LOL No.1087’s Annual Battle Of The Somme Parade, which will be lead by the Pride Of The Orange and Blue Flute Band, Orange Brethren and Sisters are asked to form up at 7.45pm in Newbuildings Community Centre Car Park to move off at 8pm. The route will be Duncastle Road, Primity Crescent, Duncastle Road, Foyle Crescent, Woodside Road, Victoria Road, Duncastle Road; the parade will stop short of the arch which will be erected on the Duncastle Road close to Newbuildings Independent Methodist Church where Rev Ivan Dinsmore City Grand Chaplain will perform the dedication and lead prayer.
