Diabetes charity walk
This year’s Derry Rose, Julianna Ayton from Campsie is calling on local people to take part in Diabetes UK Northern Ireland’s upcoming Mourne Walk on Saturday, June 30.
The 20-year-old, who herself has Type 1 diabetes, is asking local people to challenge themselves and sign up for the 15k walk to raise much needed funds for people across Northern Ireland living with the condition. The walk will start at 9am from Meelmore Lodge in Newcastle, Co. Down and registration costs £25 per person. Participants are encouraged to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
