Early learning strategy meeting in City hotel

The purpose of the new Strategy is to set out a vision and plan for ensuring better outcomes for children by improving the provision and quality of services to the youngest children, their parents and families for the next five years.

The draft Early Years (0-6) Strategy document, and supporting Evidence Based Paper, were published together with a consultation response booklet to help respondents provide a structured response.

As part of the consultation, the DE is holding a series of public events across Northern Ireland, including one at 11am, Thursday, September 30, at the City Hotel, Queens Quay, Londonderry.

The draft Strategy document is available from the Department of Education's website, together with a supporting Evidence Based Paper and consultation response document. The consultation runs until November 30, 2010.
