Eoghan embarassed by Christmas double-booking

X-FACTOR star Eoghan Quigg has apologised to his local fans after discovering a ‘double-booking’ has ruled him out of this year’s Christmas lights ‘switch-on’ in Ballymena.

This week. his management company admitted that the young pop star would be unable to fulfill his engagement in Balymena.

In a humble apology to Ballymena Borough Council and his many local fans, they said: “Please accept are sincere apologies. Unfortunately due to a mix up in dates and lack of communication between ourselves and Eoghan, he will not be able to do the Ballymena Christmas Light Switch On.

“He made the mistake in not realising he was already booked for filming ‘Celebrity Come Dancing’ for Children at Need. This has been in training for months in preparation for filming in front of a live studio audience on Thurs 15th November and also unfortunately wasn’t arranged through the agency,” said a spokesman for McCabe Management.

Eoghan added: “I am so embarrassed, I didn’t realise the dates clashed. I’m sorry to Ballymena Council, Braid Arts Centre, C21 Theatre Co. & mostly to my fans and people of Ballymena I really wanted to do this for them.If it was something I could change I would, but I have been rehearsing Celebrity Come Dancing for Children in Need for 4 months now and this date was already in place for filming for everyone.”
