Final look inside Gardenmore

DEMOLITION men preparing to bring down the Gardenmore House tower block have been puzzled by one particularly strange discovery.

Why, they wonder, would anyone want to haul four bales of hay all the way up to a flat near the top of the 16-storey building, which is to be knocked down over the next six months?

And could it have anything to do with a stash of 300 empty vodka bottles?

English firm Armoury Group has the 500,000 task of erasing Gardenmore from the landscape it once dominated with its "ugly sisters" - Shane House, which has already been demolished; and the sole survivor of the Riverdale trio, Laharna House.
