Football club’s emotional tribute to Cookstown teenager on anniversary of his death

Cookstown Youth Football Club have paid an emotional tribute to teenager Jordan Scott on the first anniversary of his sudden death.

The 13-year-old who was talented in a range of sports and avid Liverpool fan, suffered from night-time epilepsy.

In a statement posted on their Facebook page - Cookstown Youth Football Club - said the club still felt his loss.

“Today one year ago our club was devastated and in shock at the news of Jordan Scott’s untimely passing , and everyone involved with CYFC went through every emotion as we tried to come to terms with losing a player who was not only a character, but one who had his whole life ahead of him,” said the club.

“One year on and those emotions are still there and Jordan is still missed by everyone and in particular his u15s team and coaches.

“The Scott and Colvin family circles are very much in our thoughts and prayers again on this Jordan’s anniversary and may they all find the strength to get through the days and weeks to come.

“Miss you Jordan , rest easy wee man #3.”
