The go ahead was given at a recent meeting of Lisburn City Council’s Planning Committee for the construction of 58 dwellings on land adjacent to Glebe Way in Moira.

The application for the residential development was lodged with the Planning Service in November last year.

In addition to the housing, the planning application also sought permission for landscaping, open space, car parking and associated site works and access arrangements from Glebe Way.

Three letters of objection were lodged with the Planning Service opposing the development by well known developers Lagan Homes Ltd.

Despite the objections from local residents, the Planners gave the green light for the development, which will be situated approximately fifty metres north of Magherahinch House in Moira.
