The programme for 2013/14 concluded with a visit last Saturday to Mullaghbrack House near Markethill. This former Georgian Rectory was built by Rev. Samuel Blacker, from the well known South Armagh family. Later it was purchased by Rev. Lord John de la Puer Beresford and later again by Lord Gosford, giving the house an interesting pedigree. The present owners, Colin and Rosaleen Kerr, have lovingly restored this elegant house to its former splendour.

The Society’s programme for 2014/15 started with the Annual General Meeting in Lisburn Museum recently when Museum staff gave a presentation entitled “From Flax to Fabric”. New members are welcome.
