Larne Port improves disabled access
The Consumer Council and Larne Port facilitated a visit earlier in the year to learn more about special assistance services for passengers travelling with a disability or reduced mobility and to identify improvements. Passenger representatives provided feedback and improvements are being made at the ferry terminal. These include improved signage, ensuring announcements are clearly audible and the installation of a special assistance seating area.
General Manager of Larne Harbour Ltd Roger Armson said added: “Customer care is of the highest importance to us so we are delighted to have addressed the feedback in order to meet the needs of passengers travelling with a disability or reduced mobility.”
