Legacurry WI holds meeting
New president, Maree Gillespie welcomed everyone to the recent October meeting of Legacurry Women’s Institute.
The evening got under way with fun and laughter as Maree and Maureen O’Hare offered their recollections of the Autumn Council meeting with guest speaker Tony McAuley. Maree then introduced Legacurry WI’s own Joan Laughlin, who spoke on the subject of long lost families and her own experience of helping someone research their family tree.
After “a wonderful” supper the evening ended with the singing of the Country Woman’s Song.
