Local woman convicted of fraud
A Dunmurry woman was convicted at Belfast Crown Court on Friday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Margaret Mongan (41) of Ardcaoin Park, Dunmurry claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £38,738 while failing to declare capital, savings, income and living with her partner.
She was given a two year prison sentence suspended for two years.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
